Welcome to the website of the Mary Poppins children's group in Brno, founded in March 2007!

Just like this musical tutor, we want to provide children with emotional experiences as a means of learning and discovery.

Our goal is to set the conditions in the nursery so that the children's stay with us is joyful, stimulating and as creative as possible, and above all, to meet the needs of today's modern family.

Mary Poppins is located at 30 Srbská Street, in a house with a garden, in a quiet part of Královo Pole in Brno.

We are a private cosmopolitan establishment. We work with children according to the Framework Educational Programme.

We accept children to our children's group continuously throughout the year.

We are open every working day from 7.30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

News from the nursery

It is a strategic location with good transport accessibility and parking in front of the nursery.

We accept children into our mini nursery on a rolling basis as space becomes available throughout the year.

In 2010 we entered into a cooperation agreement with IBM for the project "CHILD CARE".

The operation is every working day from 7.30 a.m. - 6 p.m . throughout the calendar year.

I would like to thank the entire Mary Poppins Mini Kindergarten team for the care that Sofia and Charlotte received during those years. Sofia started when she was 15 months and didn’t speak Czech at all and she is now starting Primary School with a very good level of Czech and she was able to pass the tests in 2 Czech schools successfully. Charlotte started only in September 2021 (due to Covid situation) and she was not speaking the language neither but after only 1 year she is able to make some simple communications in Czech and she is very happy when she tells me the Czech word for this or that. A part from language progress, our daughters were always enjoying the activities proposed and Sofia was even starting to learn how to play the flute with teacher Pavla. They were always coming home telling what they had learnt in school about plants or flowers or which ones are good to make tea (from teacher Pavla), they were pushed to always try to do things alone and to do it again if they couldn’t be successful at first try (from teacher Krystina). When Sofia was small teacher Jarmila used to sleep with her to make her feel calm and like in the hands of her mum. With good weather the school organize also some trips with the kids around the city: to visit some farms or making barbecue in a garden. In June they organize trip to Italy for 1 week and also during mother’s day or children’s day there is always some performance in the school. They are really taking great care of the kids. I have heard some comments around from other friends experience in different schools and I need to say that I was always informed about my children’s behavior and called in case of illness and my daughters never came back home dirty or wet or not cleaned. We were not able to speak proper Czech so I want to thank Mary Poppins staff also for making a big effort in communicating with us in English or writing in Czech in case there was something very important to discuss with us. Big Thank You and I am sure the girls will always remember you and your teachings

Dear nursery, I would like to thank you for all your services and approach to looking after our son. Filípek joined you at the age of two and I have no regrets. I can only warmly recommend you to all mothers who have a bad conscience about giving their child to the nursery so early. The environment, the children, the teachers are kind, sweet, and the best for the children. If we are lucky and Filda has a sibling soon, we will be happy to contact you again :-)
